The second image is us firing it in a gas/salt kiln at NHCP. This was a wonderful opportunity to live in Historic New Harmony, learn about the utopian Harmonists, and immerse myself in the "sense of place" being integral to creative inspiration. These teapots are very decorative as well as technically functional and food safe.

This "Succulent" Teapot features interpretations of the organic forms I found growing in a neglected pot in the studio. Subtle underglazes and a special "secret" wash/glaze was used in the gas/salt firing pictured in the 2nd photo. This is an excellent example of what salt and fire can do to a pure fine white porcelain clay body. It is 9" high and 5" wide.
